What is Uncharted: Fight for Fortune?

No new news on the upcoming Uncharted 4 release date just yet, but there is, however, a new game in the Uncharted world currently being worked on. Uncharted: Fight for Fortune is an upcoming casino/cards-based game for Vita (and maybe for PS3 as well). Not much is know about the project at this time other than the title and the developer is One Loop Games.while Sony Computer Entertainment is the publisher. Naughty Dog is the developer for the past Uncharted games so this is definitely not Uncharted 4. The details are sketchy at best but I’m thinking this casino/card game could also be similar to Metal Gear Ac!d, a turn-based strategic battle card style game. Many fans were hoping that if the series went off in a different direction it would be a Mario Kart style racing game (UnKarted, if you will).

What do you think about the possibility of an Uncharted game for something other than PS3 or PS4? Will this new game dilute the franchise or can you never get enough Uncharted? I’d love to hear from you!

Uncharted 4 Wishlist and Suggestions

While we patiently await more news on the Uncharted 4 release date I thought it would be fun to start a discussion about what suggestions we would like to see implemented in Uncharted 4. Some players think the supernatural elements of Uncharted 3 were mishandled.

What do you want to see in Uncharted 4 that wasn’t included in Uncharted 3? Where should they take the series from here? What treasures should Drake and Sully go after?

Uncharted 4 Release Date Timeline

When is the Uncharted 4 release date? No official information has been released by Naughty Dog, the developer of the series, as of yet but based on their track record we can make an educated guess on when it will be. Naughty Dog typically only releases one new game per year. Currently, they are working on The Last of Us  scheduled for a December 31 release. Up to this point, each Uncharted game has been released two years after the previous one. Based on this information I think we can expect Uncharted 4 to be released in November of 2014! Whether this will be on the PS3 or PS4 is still unknown at this time.

Did you know, the Last of Us was teased in Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception? During the game, there is a newspaper with a bold headline that reads “scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus” and “millions are feared dead or infected”. The Last of Us is a survival game where the human race has been decimated by a deadly fungus. How clever is that? It certainly makes me want to go back and play through the game again just to look for more clues. Check out the video clip below:

Uncharted 4 Release Date and Other News

When is the Uncharted 4 Release date? Naughty Dog, the developers of the Uncharted series, are currently working on their latest video game, The Last of Us, for the PS3. Popular gaming sites have reported that their team was recently split into two groups, one to handle this new intellectual property and another to work on, you guessed it, Uncharted 4!

The next question you might ask after what is the Uncharted 4 release date is what system will it be made available on? There are rumors that Uncharted 4 could be the first big name video game to be released for the PS4. PS4 is rumored to be released in late 2013 (before the holiday season of course). If these rumors prove true it means we may see Uncharted 4 released on a new system by the end of next year, 2013 (two years after Uncharted 3, which was two years after Uncharted 2). This also backs up the rumor that Naughty Dog is developing the Last of Us now for the PS3 so they could save Uncharted 4 for the PS4.

Additionally, the co-president of Nauaghy Dog development also told sources they would keep making Uncharted video games as long as fans kept buying and playing them and that they had a lot more adventures in store for Nathan Drake. That’s great news for all  Uncharted fans.

Again, these are all just rumors and conjectures at this point. At the very least though, we should see Uncharted 4, for either PS3 or PS4, as early as fall 2013 or at latest 2014. And for the time being we still have those amazing previous versions of Uncharted to enjoy before the next in the series comes out.
